Trickle Up is an organization that provides business education, training and grants for the purpose of encouraging some of the world's poorest people to develop microenterprises. Providing resources for the development of entrepreneurial skills, Trickle Up empowers people living on less than $1 a day to strengthen their communities through gaining financial independence.

Newton Running will be donating $1 for each pair of shoes sold during 2009 to Trickle Up to help more people in Asia, Central America, East Africa and West Africa to start their own business, as a means out of poverty.
