Ironman Champion - 2008 -Ironman Western Australia
"I love my Newtons! They look great and they are super light! I love the forefoot technology and they have improved my running!" - Tim Berkel

Tim Berkel, is a Professional Triathlete based in Australia. Tim is quickly becoming one of Australia's top Ironman athletes. He is only 24 years old, and with only four Ironman races under his belt, he has already won his first Ironman event in Western Australia on December 7th, 2008. Tim's achievement over his short career also makes him the second youngest Ironman winner in the 30 year history of Ironman racing worldwide. Thomas Hellriegel, also won 1995 Ironman Lanzarote when he was 24.
Tim is a vivacious young athlete, with many years ahead of him in the sport. He is currently ranked 17th in the world over long course events. With his natural talent, engaging personality and absolute commitment to the hard work ahead, there is every reason to believe that Tim can achieve his goals and, ultimately, stand on the podium in Hawaii.
